Football Season is Back: Kick Off To the Season!!

Tonight Football season is officially BACK!!!

Are you ready to kiss your Husbands or your wives good bye for the season?

It's really the only thing about Fall that I love!

Like I told ya'll in my last post... Kris and I are playing Fantasy Football so that's bringing on all kinds of excitement!!!

We have submitted our teams and we are ready to face each other this week. 

Tonight New England and Kansas play!

I bet that will be a good game!

My Fantasy Quarter back and Defense play so I will be keeping a close eye on them tonight!

Kissing My 20's Good Bye : I did it!

Hey!

Good Morning!

How is everyone doing today?

I am so excited to share this with you!

I saw this and always said to myself that when I turned 30 I was going to do this myself. 

Well I did!

Ladies and Gentlemen...

I did an Adult Cake Smash!

Happy 30th Birthday to myself!

Now this wasn't your typical Adult Cake Smash... I let the Fur Babies join in on the fun as well!

Plus, I didn't get as messy as I should have... I mean eww...

That's when I thought," What have I gotten myself into?"

It was such a fun experience! 

Just to be silly for a moment and enjoy life!

I'm sure people are going to look at these pictures and be like why? 

Honestly, I didn't want to tell anyone I was doing them just for that reason but afterwards well... yeah I did it. 

You have to have fun in life and this was so much fun and I mean we did get our family picture taken but the Fur babies and I had a blast eating cake!

I am so Thankful that our family friend Sarah was able to make this dream come true for me!

Doing this helped me get over the meltdown of turning 30!

It's really just a number and I should be grateful I am still alive to be silly!

Oswald Update!

My boy is growing up...

He weighed in at 9.8 pounds.

Going up and down the steps aren't even an issue for him anymore....

He jumps on the couch and off of the couch....Which is so cute to see this flying pup!.... Audrey isn't happy about it. No where for her to hide now...

The biggest news.... Oswald's ears are standing now! Just when I thought he couldn't be any cuter....

Fun Fact: Audrey's birthday is November 3 and Oswald's is February 3!

He LOVES to cuddle!

Loves Car rides... he is very good he really just curls up and tries to sleep.

Picture proof that they actually like each other!

Audrey and Oswald get along just like normal brother and sisters do. I can't take Oswald anywhere without Audrey. He doesn't like it but once he gets home to see Audrey he is all happy again!

Audrey has her moments of just wanting me to herself and well the feeling is mutual... I miss my Audrey cuddles... they don't happen as much here lately... I get Oswald cuddles more than Audrey ones... 

Which... Hey... at least I get cuddles....

There's a whole lot of personality in our house hold and I LOVE it!

I thought having two dogs much less doing the puppy thing all over again was going to be harder than it's been. 

It's really been so much fun and gosh what love I receive when I get home....

Such an awesome feeling!

Active Audrey!

With me becoming active again.... The trying to stay outside and help Oswald burn off his puppy energy... I noticed Audrey was laying there watching us...

I started taking her outside with just me and walking her and playing with the ball... 

Could just be me totally worrying over nothing.... cause she is probably tired with a little brother jumping on her constantly

I started looking to see if there was something extra that would help me know if she was being active enough.... she had already been to the vet and is healthy....

Which I believe the vet... but seeing another Puggle pictured that was her age... it got me worried that I myself wasn't doing my Fur Mama job like I should be....

Then I saw where there's a like Fitbit thing for dogs!

It's called FitBark

FitBark is a dog activity monitor that tracks everyday activity in real time with a compact bone design that fits on your dogs collar. It's water proof and has a 14 day battery life! You can do everything from setting activity goals to monitoring how they are doing after a surgical procedure.  It tracks how well they sleep, measure their activity while you're away and even compare it to other dogs.

So the challenge between Audrey and I is on!

You know getting her active and healthy is going to get me active and healthy as well!

We need to keep up with Oswald!

Could help you identify health issues early on, get feedback on how your dog is responding to a new treatment or diet. 

Now once you purchase the Fitbark and tell your friends and family about it... you will be laughed at for getting " a Fitbit for your dog".... but hey it helps you know more about your dog and to see if you are actually doing good for them.

It's been such a motivating change for me... I mean I love Audrey with all my heart and I want to be the best for her and help as much as I can to keep her around...

Now, I was very hesitant about ordering one... I read all the reviews.. asked Facebook dog groups... and even asked on Twitter...

Finally, I just went ahead and bought it.

Kris actually thought it was a good idea... He knew it would help get her and I both moving and it has as well as him!

Audrey and Oswald

Good Morning!

A weekend with both fur babies was such a FANTASTIC time!

They played hard and the snuggled with me even harder!

They are playing tug a war with the rope toys now!

So exciting to see!

Oswald has been following Audrey around and thankfully one part of the day he didn't... Audrey decided to roll around in poo outside....

They still both got a bath though!

Oswald was not a fan of the bath or the hair dryer that i used on him just a little bit but he saw how crazy Audrey went and she I think scared him even more.

We got our treats and snuggled on the couch watching a Dog's Purpose.

If I ever need a good cry... I will watch that movie!

I think I cried the whole time and then hugged my babies tight!

Good movie and very touching!

I know I am very blessed to have these fur babies and they mean the world to me.

Receiving the love they give is such a great feeling.

Looks like we are all happy to have eachother!

That makes me so happy!

Frozen Treats

Which is something I have ready in the Freezer all Summer long!

Super easy!


Fill your ice trays, silicone trays, or the Kong stuffing toys with Chicken broth...Water... Watered down Peanut Butter or Yogurt!

You can add some fruit to them TOO!

Freeze!

and Boom!

You are ready for an  Awesome summer spoiling for your Fur Babies!

BE CAREFUL WITH ADDING FRUIT TO TREATS

Our Family Expanded By 4 Feet!

Hey!

Good morning!

I am so excited to introduce you to the newest Fur Baby!

Meet Oswald!

He is 8 weeks old

I'm sure you are wondering where the name Oswald came from well... let me get nerdy for a minute... 

In the Batman world, there is a villain the call Penguin and well his real name is Oswald Cobblepot! 

Well with Boston terriers looking like penguins and us being such fans of Gotham and well nerds... How could we not name him Oswald?!

Plus it sounded Proper enough to me to be with Audrey...

Speaking of Audrey....

She is actually doing a lot better than I thought...

I was worried!

As soon as they met she ran from him and was hiding!

She kept coming to me though!

Whew! Good!

They have been playing and napping in the same area just Audrey doesn't want him on her yet...

She wants him close but not that close....

Which is alright...

Oswald is a daddy's boy though!

He loves him so Kris.... And I believe the feeling is mutual!

He is PERFECT!

The only thing that has been an issue has been his crate...

He doesn't like it.

I found putting his blankets in the dryer before bed and then wrapping him up in them works...

Might be a bit spoiled already but he never made a peep last night and we all slept the whole night!

I got to spend the whole day with them yesterday.

 Today is the first day he will be in his crate all day!

I'm thinking by Thursday he will be just fine with that crate!

Preparing for the little one.....

Hello!

Good morning!

I am squirming in my seat...

Watching the clock....

Today is the day.... I get to go pick up our little Boston Terrier Puppy!

I have so many emotions running through me...

I'm so EXCITED and yet very NERVOUS!!

Will Audrey like her brother?

Will Audrey still like me?

Will he love his home?

Do I have everything he needs?

You would think since I have Audrey I would be good right?

AHHHH!!

Wrong!

He needs his own stuff too!

Puppy Stuff!

You know like his own Redskins Jersey! 

Yes.... He is already ready for football.... I mean the draft is right around the corner....

Here's a new Puppy Check list!

Crate

Crate training is one of the best options for pups. It keeps them safe during the day from getting into things unsupervised while you are out and about. Helps give you a little piece of mind. Plus if you have to take them to a kennel, vet, or groomer where they will be locked up they won't feel as scared being in the crate because that's a sort of home comfort for them.  Also helps with potty training as well... 

Bowls

Smaller bowls to start out with since they aren't as tall as you think...

Food

Puppy food helps them get all the nutrients and weight gain they need to be healthy and beautiful Best friends for life!

Collar

Helps others know he has a home and not look so nakey...

Tag

Tag.. let's people know where that home is. Also helps you hear where they are too. Win Win!

Harness

I love a harness more then the collar. gives you more control while walking them and doesn't allow you to choke them.

Leash

Of course I did have plenty of these. You know for all the matching and such. He will be using the superhero leash more then any!

Toys

This is one of the hardest and yet most addicting thing of this list! Puppy chews...balls...ropes... and had to keep in mind Audrey "The destroyer"

94 cents toys from Walmart are the best!

Blankets

I was told no more blankets in the house since i'm a blanket freak well.... I got him a marvel blanket and a Boston Terrier blanket! 

He has to have new blankets of his scent to go home with.... DUH!

Lastly....Vet & Groomer which we already had thanks to Audrey!

Now my Puggle and Boston Terrier are breeds that don't need much grooming needs. So I take them to the groomer for nail trims but, there are some grooming things you will need to have at home.

Brush: I have the Furminator and the Zoom Groom

Shampoo.... Smells so good!

Dental Treats: Audrey like the Greenies or the Whimzees

I also use the Breath Freshener that you can add to your water

To help save yourself some money......both Petco and Petsmart has rewards programs

With Chewy you save already from their prices being low... you get great customer service...and you save with autoshipment.

Walmart they have their savings catcher.... I randomly cash in my savings just to use it up on the 94 cent ropes  that last long for Audrey!

Plus Walmart.. Petco...and Petsmart usually have Ibotta deals on some dog food or treat so I always keep my eye on them!

Now also, I have been so prepared and I kept the new crate away from Audrey because I didn't want our new little one to not feel like it was his place. 

I got enough toys to help make Audrey not feel like she isn't getting anything.

I have been reading what to do to keep Audrey happy during this transition.

Hopefully it will all work out!

Hello!

Good Morning!!

Happy Friday!

I'm so ready for this weekend!

With Slumber parties and 3 miles walks at the park.....This little girl give me so much Love and brightness to my day!

I know I have a great little lady here!

She's my partner in crime!

There will be a little brother coming into her world this time next week but I promise to not give him anymore attention than I give her. I plan on still having our cuddle sessions and walks at the mall....

Everything that makes us us... it's totally going to happen still!

I wish I was home with her now having a nice day long cuddle session.

I may be a little crazy over her... but I have never connected this much with a dog before.

It's such an awesome feeling that  just the sight of you lights up her world and honestly the feeling is mutual.

When I leave for a vacation that I can't take her on.... it kills me and I end up checking in on her constantly.

I am hoping to get to take her to a beach this year and see how she reacts to the beach. 

I'm ready for a weekend of spoiling her.

It's one of my favorite things to do.

Pawfect Treat!

Good Morning!

This post goes along with the yesterday's on keeping the fur babies cool while you are having some outside fun!

I feel a little silly sharing these cool down treats and it hasn't even been Super hot yet...

I am preparing you...

Really... I just like to spoil my baby!

Anyway,

Thanks to Bark Box and Pinterest I found this awesome recipe!

Which will totally be made for the furbabies a lot this summer!

Cook outs....outdoor movie nights....Lake or pool days...

This treat will have us covered!

You will need to grab this bowl for your fur baby!

Barkmade Bowl for dogs

Now I tried this treat over the weekend and this treat was long lasting !!!

Audrey Loved it!

She was busy for a good 30 mins... which on a hotter day i'm sure it won't last that long... from the heat or her!


You will need

Bowl
1/4 cup of Peanut Butter
1 1/4 cup of water
Strawberries
Blueberries

Mix the water and peanut butter together pour in bowl and add the desired amount of Blueberries and Strawberries

Freeze for 2 hours

Then watch the excitement happen!!

Has anyone else tried this treat out?

Very simple way to give Audrey a nice treat that cooled her off from our playing!

Keepin Cool

Hello!

Good morning!

Now, The other day I shared all that Fur baby fun to have outside....

Which leads me to this question now.....

How are you gonna keep them from over heating?

Of Course... having water accessible to them at all time but here are some other ways as well!

I have a Puggle and about to have a Boston Terrier....Those breeds are ones that get over heated quick and yet still want to play...

So, While I am all about having fun with them outside... I want to make sure we all stay cool!

Now we go to the Lake or over to my parents and hang out by their pool... so they have access to swim.... Plus grandma spoiling!

Now at home though they don't so that's where these ideas come into play!

- Kiddie Pool -

We have well water so I don't think my husband would be to happy to not be able to take a shower because I used all the water for the fur babies so... we grab some ice from the store and fill the kiddie pool up and once the ice melts..... POOL DAY!

K9 Chill

Thanks to my Chewy shopping I also found this Collar wrap that will help keep them cool will playing or going for our walks outside.

I use a harness while walking so this will be great to use for them. 

I can't wait to try these out! Such an awesome idea!

Cooling Mats

I have not gotten on of those think I will for days by the pool... but for the most part if we are at places like that.... a grandma is around and will take them in and love on them... Which I do too but... you know grandmas.... 

Toys you can freeze

Which I had gotten at Petco a couple years ago and she actually hasn't destroyed it! Once it isn't the frozen toy... she doesn't really mess with it.

Then there's the treats!

Ice Cream : Frosty Paws They can be bought at Food lion, Kroger, and Walmart in our location 

Frozen treats.... Which I will be sharing a different recipe to help you have an awesome summer of spoiling your Fur Babies!
