Recap of 2016

Good Morning!

Hello!

How are you?

Last time I get to post in 2016!!

I can't believe the year went by so quick!

Now before we say Hello to 2017.... let's take a little walk through 2016 with some of the most memorable moments....

Obviously one of the biggest moments I had this year was... I got married!!!

The Bouquets from our wedding.

Mexico was such a great time! I fell in love with Guacamole!

We rescued our Big boy Clyde only to have to surrender him to a better house for him due to his abusive lifestyle he had had before us. He never really adjusted good enough.

Such a beautiful boy!

My beautiful baby girl Audrey made some crazy things this year and yet she has chilled out tremendously.

She is 2 and my Best friend!

I became a Younique Presenter and made it to the 3rd level.

I hope to keep it up in 2017!

What an awesome party that was!

I fell in love with LuLaroe

I would like to say Thank you to each and every one of you for reading my blog posts.

Hope you are stay safe celebrating this new year's arrival!

Can't wait for our journey in 2017!!!

I need to RANT!

Sorry in advance if you are looking for a happy post... That will come next...Last night, my heart melted and has caused my bad mood today. PEOPLE! How inconsiderate PEOPLE are.

Clyde had his training class last night, only it was cut short. We always get there for enough time to walk him around twice so he calms down, gets used to his surroundings, and is ready for class. Well during our laps. A lady desperately wanted her Dodson to see Clyde. Which made me nervous because, Clyde has only been around Audrey his whole life. Audrey is a tough booger and Clyde doesn't do anything to hurt her but they know eachother's limits. I tried to walk away but she kept on.  FINE... well her dog rolled on her back and Clyde put his leg on her and she squealed which scared him. I was like okay lets walk. Enough with the visit. The lady insisted that they keep playing. I kept walking and saying No Thank you!

Well Kris took him over to the class area and I paid for new bones for him and Audrey. Came over to class and we began. He was doing great.

Next thing we know, we are being given the next instructions on how to strengthen the STAY command. Staff members go over to a sign hanging from the ceiling and cut it down. BAM!

Clyde booked it under one of the chairs and laid there shaking.

The trainer got so mad at the Staff... Seriously, not the time to do that you have now scared the student.

The trainer was great she helped us coach him back from under the chair but now he just looked back and forth to every noise and now the light fixtures bothered him.

The trainer and we agreed to end class and take him home. She told us she would count it as half a class and we could do another half class. She didn't want to push him and he end up not liking classes or her.

Which she walked us out and she went to say good bye to him and he hid behind me. She was like see this is what I don't want.

I was a mess last night. I was able to keep it together but once we got home and I started texting my mom I lost it. I cried so much because I feel absolutely terrible for Clyde. He wasn't loved and brought up the right way and here we are trying to help him and do the right things. Trying to help him learn his role in life, Help him be how a dog is suppose to be and Other people have set us back.

I was so bothered by people's actions last night, and shame on me for carrying it over into today but I just don't understand the lack of respect people have for one another and how heartbreaking it was to see him so scared last night. To know that something happened to him in his previous home to make him that scared.

I am all about Dogs being good people and its all in the way they were raised is how they act, but if I am telling you that's enough... Back off and leave my dog alone. You may know yours and all but Clyde is Special and I honestly don't know how he is going to react... That's why I am doing classes with him so I can get to know him and know how to help him. He is such a goober and oh so loving at home.

I took him in and I am going to do everything in my power to help make his life better.

People need to stop assuming! All dogs are different!

Respect that and go on because I say no for your safety, your dogs safety, and mine.

I hate to give Clyde that negative thought, but you just never know what could trigger him and I don't want anyone hurt.

Alright... Rant over... Mic Drop... all that good stuff!

Hug your Fur Babies tight!

Life is better when they are around....

Hey everyone! So the Fur babies have been going on adventures together here lately so now they have to walk on their leashes when we go outside. I lost them one day for 40 mins. They ran across the road...down the street... I cried. It was really a mess of a day.

Audrey was the one who made them go on the adventure. Clyde followed behind. She got made that I told her to not mess with a dead frog in yard anymore so she bolted on in the front yard next thing i know Clyde took off after and poof they were gone. Note to self * Get back to the gym!

Thankfully the power of Cheese came through and they finally came back home!

Clyde has been doing a great job.... when he isn't following Audrey.

He had his best class last night. He learned the commands Stay and Come. I know should have learned that last week.  He really shocked me with how well he did.  I say that because he doesn't stay focused very long. Treats don't hold his attention as much as they do Audrey's.

That boy loves Audrey though. I caught them cuddling in his crate yesterday!  Sometimes he just whines to just have her around.

Clyde can be such a baby when it come to a lot of stuff but that baby turns into the Hulk if he hears something that he should protect me from. Last night, as people walked by us he made sure he blocked them from me....but then that could have been so he would get petted since his wiggly butt was in full force.

Next class we will work on Stay and Come more and then walking on the leash for the next 2 classes and Audrey will get to join us for his graduation!

I think he might get a cake for graduating!

Speaking of cake.... His birthday is coming up! We will have to have a Paw-ty! I can't wait!!!

Hope you all have a wonderful day!

Training to be a Champion....

Last Night was Clyde's first training class. He already knew the commands we went over last night and it was more for the Trainer to get to know him.

Right off she said he's such a good boy he just doesn't have that much self confidence. He doesn't know him role in your house and then when he is scared not to tell him "it's ok" because that is telling him that there is something to be scared of... Which worked out... there were Balloons by the training area and he freaked at first but once we said, " You're good." He didn't pay attention to them anymore! We may try this with the ceiling fan!

He really surprised me with being so welcoming to everyone. Not saying I was waiting for him to attack or anything but he has been so skittish to so much that in a way I kinda saw a happy dog.

The trainer said that she can tell Kris is his favorite. Which was so funny because when Clyde is nervous he will go straight to Kris and keep rubbing up against him. He doesn't want Kris to go far.

Not only did Clyde make me proud but Kris really did too... Dogs are not his thing. We have 2 now though. He has totally become such an awesome helper with them and seeing him asking questions and doing the training last night with Clyde, was really such an awesome thing to see.  Both my boys have come a long way.

I can't wait to see the results at the end of this class. Hope you all stay along for this little adventure!

Have a wonderful day!

Fur Baby Clyde

Oh me oh my! I think I say that very often thanks to that big boy we have now. He has eaten a total of 6 pairs of my shoes... but I still love him.

He got to go to the vet last night for a check up and to get on some flea and tick medicine. Poor boy has come in from playing outside with a few ticks.... That can't happen with my Fur Babies.  This was the first time we had taken him to the vet. He was a really good boy.... except he did bite at the vet when he took his temperature.  I don't blame him but still...

He is signed up to start his training classes on Monday. I am very excited about those. He is a good boy and I have been working with him but I just need the extra help since he is such a big boy compared to Audrey.

Oh yeah and while we were at the Vet he kept trying to shake hands with everyone that bent down to meet him.... Might I add he hasn't been shaking my hand in a while... Audrey does it perfect now that treats are involved!

He has come a long way from when we got him. He wasn't eating treats and scared of every noise. Now he is eating any and everything. He is scared of the ceiling fans and that seems to be the only thing that's bothering him anymore.

He is such a happy boy now and so full of life. I am very glad we did bring him into our home because now I don't know how life would be without him. He is a pain some times but the love and happiness he shows makes up for it all.

Your Fur Babies will LOVE you!

Have you tried to baking treat for your Fur Babies?

Well I hadn't either until I found out that the Dog Bakery we had in a shopping center closed right before Audrey's birthday.

So I had to come up with something quick!

I found a recipe for the treats and I love baking treats... So much that I have a cookie cutter collection now....

Each Fur baby in my life gets special treats from me for the holidays or just because.

Making them has helped save money as well!

Peanut Butter Dog Treats!

You will need:

  • 2 cups whole wheat flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  •  1/3 cup smooth peanut butter
  • 1 cup skim milk, or 1 cup hot water (NOT BOILING WATER)
  • 1 egg, this is optional you do not have to include it. The egg makes a dogs coat shiny (I dont include the egg in the treats)

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees. Mix all ingredients in a bowl. Put dough on counter to flatten out and use your cookie cutters to make you Fur Baby a special treat! They bake for 20 mins! Let them cool and then your Furbaby can be spoiled!

Audrey and Clyde approve these treats!

I do have a recipe for a cake which Clyde's Birthday is in June so I may get a little adventurous and try it out.

I'm sure these Fur babies will love it!

If you have any Treat Recipes that you use to bake for your Fur Babies please share!

Let me know if  did make these treats!

Clyde update!

Hey everyone! So my handsome boy is recovering from being neutered on Monday.... He was quite loopy... But starting to get back to being his normal self.

Audrey and I baked him treats while he was away and made sure his crate got some extra love put in there. With a new toy, bone, and blanket

Last night he was wanting his mommy.... he just wanted me to sit with him. he kept putting his paw on me to stay... How could I resist? I got a few kisses, which he doesn't pass them out as much as Audrey so I felt quite lucky.

You can tell he is quite happy with his life now and I feel so good to provide him with such a great life.

I love this big boy!

I'm so thankful I get to be a listener....

My Heart Melts....

Last night, there was a magic moment that made me tear up and be so happy at the same time.

Having two dogs has been a big adjustment for all of us. Audrey isn't my only care anymore and it's not terrible by no means but it does take more time and I have all the faith in the world.

My world does revolve around them as it does anyone else. I believe Audrey and Clyde are my best friends... my kids... my family members... I would love to have them in my wedding and they to stay with us forever. I love them!

I think Clyde has been amazing and has changed so much since day one when we brought him home. He is a big boy and scared of a lot. the first day it took Kris and I 30 mins to get him to come in our house. He had never been around other dogs so Audrey was good smelling to him and he had to show his "man hood" to her several times.

Now, he hardly does any of that. Not to Audrey or to me. He is calm and looks so happy.  It took him a while to eat in front of us or even take a treat from us. I give treats for good behavior... because I can...Training.... you name it.  Clyde also hasn't shown much interest in toys. He will watch Audrey chase the ball and run with her but then turn around and want me to pet him. He has sniffed the toys to see what she's messing with but then just walks away.

Well last night I heard Audrey growling an awful lot so I went to go make sure she wasn't being mean and there wasn't a fight about the break out.

Audrey and Clyde were playing with one of the rope toys. Clyde had a toy in his mouth! Clyde was playing with a toy! I couldn't believe it!

What a great Fur Mama moment for me!

I am so beyond Thankful that we have dogs!

I love them so much!

Please feel free to share you Fur baby!

Hope you all have a great day!

Let me introduce you to.......Clyde

Yep... Can you believe it?! Kris heard about Clyde and jumped to go get him. Yep that's right I said KRIS. MR. No Dogs no pets not in my house.... to we now have 2?!!

Clyde was given to us from a lady that works with my brother in law. She felt bad for him beings that she couldn't give him as much attention as he needs because her job kept her away a lot.

He has been such a loving boy. I am in love!!

Clyde is 3 years old and and Old English Bulldog!

His Birthday is June 6th

He has an appointment to visit the vet and get a check up.

March 7th we go for surgery to umm well not be so much of a boy if you catch my drift...

Audrey and Clyde get a long great! Clyde hasn't started playing with toys yet so Audrey gets a little aggravated with him over that. All she wants to do is play!!

Day by day Clyde is getting more comfortable and I mean that good ways!

At first Clyde was only eating his food when we all went to bed and wouldn't take treats. I was heartbroken. Like in this house we get spoiled! Take the spoiling! He now is the one how is by the treat jar first once they come inside!!!

My world does revolve around my Fur Babies so
I can't wait to share more with you about the Adventures of Audrey and Clyde!

Stay tuned...
